This article talks about two things. First, an event that will be this Friday at 8:00 p.m. in Reggie’s Rock Club at 2109 S State St. Tickets will cost between $15 to $20 dollars. Second, This article talks about the singer of the event: Rockie Fresh, he is a Chicago rapper who express happiness for being a Metromix Rock and a finalist in 2010 on the verge of gaining nationwide acclaim, for a pair of mixtapes, The Otherside, and The Otherside: Redux. He comments that the origin name of the upcoming mixtape “Driving 88” at the end of October came from the movie “Back to the Future,” where DeLorean had to go 88 miles per hour for them to reach their destination. He also tells his proper ideas: “I always wanted my debut album and the first thing people buy to be a classic project, and right now I don’t have the resources to do that. I want to continue to build myself as an independent artist and give people free music and see where it takes me”, and he explain to us that the confidence is the only thing that made him to be the person that now he is: “If you don’t have confidence in yourself it’s gonna be hard for you to survive”.
I think that what Rockie Fresh will do is fine because through these events people can establish a better social relationship enjoying a nice time and meeting new persons. And I feel good for him because if he continues in that way he will have much success.
