The Amsterdam Connection

            Elly van Praag is a policewoman. She is tall and very blonde, and looks like an athlete. In fact, she was a very good cyclist. She looks like the daughter of a Dutch farmer, which she is, with red cheeks and bright blue eyes, and she speaks English very well.

            Elly is friends with Kate Jensen. They met during the case of the stolen paintings two years ago. Kate is a news reporter. Max Carson is Kate’s ex-boss and friend, Max was dead in a few days.  When Kate knew Max was dead, she decided to go from London to Amsterdam to find the killer. Kate told Elly about this and asks for help, and Ellysaid she would help her. Elly wasn’t a football fan and knew nothing about the Rotterdam club, but Elly lives Amsterdam, and is easier for her to get information than Kate. Elly, who had put herself in so much danger to help Kate to find the killer, Elly follows this case to the end. When she got some information, she offered to Kate. Finally, they did.

            Elly is a very important role in this story, because she is a very good friend and very brave. I like Police very much, when I was a child, I would like to be a police. In this book, Elly’s courage is worthy of our respect.

            This picture is how I imagine Elly to look like a very brave and intelligent policewoman.
