Staying Together

by: Judith Wilson

Taka is described in the book as a young man of normal stature who always uses the long hair over his eyes, his eyes are of black color and he is from Japan. I think that like most of the Japanese people maybe he has a white skin tone. Also, for the synthesis of the book Taka is described as a young man and as a person of good feelings. Taka is a young man who lives in 2050, he is a researcher at the Centre and he meets a media - scientist named Joyce. Taka and his friend Sven want to receive help from Joyce for a project but she refuses to help them. After several incidents, Taka saves the life of Joyce on a beach when a stonefish bites her. Gradually, Taka and Joyce are forming a stronger relationship between them and before they decide what will happen to them Taka has to go to Japan to visit his grandmother while Joyce has to go to Zambia to visit the home of his grandfather who is died. On this trip Taka make a big discovery: Joyce's grandfather had been the love of his grandmother, this information plus some photos found in Joyce's grandfather's house will take a stronger direction of love in the life of Taka and Joyce. I probably chose this character because I think that I identify with Taka in many ways. For example, I am of normal stature, I am a young of black hair and always I have considered myself like a person of good feelings. I chose this picture because I think it's almost like I imagine to Taka, in this picture we found a Japanese young man with long hair over his eyes with black eyes and by the size of his arms we can say that he has an average stature and at first glance he looks like a nice guy.
